Dr. Barry Cohen

Dentist

Dr. Barry Cohen was born and raised in Gloversville, NY, and resided there until he moved to Philadelphia in 1972 to attend the University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate, which he completed in 1976. He proceeded to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1980. Since his graduation, Dr. Cohen has been a permanent fixture in the dental community of Havertown and Drexel Hill. For over 30 years now, he has worked as the Director of Continuing Education for the Chester County and Delaware Dental Society. He has also served as the Director of Continuing Education for the American Dental Association (2015). In addition to other dental procedures, Dr. Cohen is trained in both the placement and restoration of dental implants, and will work closely with you throughout the entirety of the dental implant process. Dr. Cohen is consistently voted one of the top dentists in the area by Philadelphia Magazine and the Mainline Today Magazine.

Dr. Cohen is married to the love of his life, and has two adult daughters. When he is not practicing dentistry or participating in the Drexel Hill community, he can be found skiing or cycling, as well as spending time with his family.

Dr. Yesle Kim

Dr. Kim is excited to join Timeless Smiles as the new owner! Please read Dr. Cohen's letter announcing the news below. You will also be receiving this letter in the mail or at your next dental visit! 

Dear Valued Patients,

Please join me in welcoming Dr. Yesle Kim to Timeless Smiles. When I started my practice 43 years ago, I wanted to build a practice our patients could call home. I wanted our patients to be treated with compassion and integrity, and create a team that is eager to work together to serve our patients. As I move closer toward retirement, I am excited to have Dr. Kim, who shares my vision, join our team as the new owner of Timeless Smiles. Although I will be reducing my hours, I am not ready to fully retire yet.

I have gotten to know Dr. Kim at our DKU continuing education courses this past year. Dr. Kim not only graduated from University of Pennsylvania but also worked there as a clinical professor on the clinic floor after graduating. She has more than eight years of experience caring for patients and is up to date with all the latest techniques and technologies.

Dr. Kim and her fiancé Patrick are enthusiastic about putting down their roots in Delaware County. Dr. Kim will be starting on July 1st, and I will be personally introducing her as you come in for your dental visits. She is a skilled and talented dentist that I am sure you will find compassionate and caring as well. I will be working alongside Dr. Kim to continue the legacy I have built for our office. Everyone at the office- Donna, Lynne, Sue, Anna, Nicole, Trish, and Markisha— will continue to provide the care and customer service you have come to expect. I look forward to seeing you and introducing you to her at your next visit.

Dr. Lisa Yosevitz

Dentist

Dr. Lisa Yosevitz fell in love with dentistry at an early age through a high school mentorship program. Her passion for dentistry led her to Franklin & Marshall College where she earned a B.A. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and then to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her D.M.D. Following dental school, Dr. Lisa completed a general practice residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Dr. Lisa strives to provide dental care with a gentle approach and ensures that every patient is not only comfortable while in her dental chair, but also understands the treatment being prescribed. As a percussionist growing up, she is a fan of all genres of music so don’t be surprised if you hear her humming along to Dr. Cohen’s playlist!

Dr. Lisa currently lives in Philadelphia with her partner. Outside of the office, she loves to explore new restaurants in the city, travel abroad, and spend time with her family, especially her 2 nephews!

Dr. Valerie Malcolm

Dentist

Having been in the dental field for almost 20 years, Dr. Valerie Malcolm understands that patient comfort and communication are just as important as quality dentistry. She will listen to your needs and tie them with evidence-based dentistry to provide customized dental care, all while ensuring that you are as comfortable as possible. 

Dr. Val is a foreign-trained dentist from the Philippines, who ranked 10th in the 2005 Philippine National Dental Board Exam. Upon migrating to the US, she first worked as a dental assistant, then as an EFDA (for Dr. Cohen!), and on the administrative side as Senior Clinic Manager of the Pediatric Dentistry Clinic at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. She has been teaching in the EFDA Program at Harcum College since 2010, and has served the Pennsylvania EFDA Association as Continuing Education Coordinator. In 2023, she received her US DMD through the Advanced Standing Program for Internationally Trained Dentists at Temple Kornberg School of Dentistry, graduating summa cum laude, finally allowing her to indulge in her passion for dentistry and genuine patient care.

Outside of dentistry, she enjoys painting, gardening and dancesport. Her absolute favorite ways to pass time are hanging out with her husband and best friend of 18 years and with their daughter.
